He is currently Full Professor of Procedural Law at the University of Girona. His research work covers both civil and criminal procedural law, with a special focus on comparative and international law. In addition, he has published several works in books and specialized journals on evidence through new technologies.

In total, he has published a total of 11 monographs, a manual of Procedural Law that has 9 editions and more than 80 contributions between participations in collective works and journal articles.

He has been invited on several occasions as a speaker at different events in various European and Latin American countries. He is a member of the International Association of Procedural Law (IAPL) and the European Law Institute (ELI).

He currently holds the position of General President of the Inter-University Network for Legal Dialogue between Europe and America -REDIJEA- and is a member of the Center for Judicial and Procedural Studies of the University of Girona (CEAPJ).
